Information and Resources for the residents of Langley Grove Estates

Power Outages

In the event of a lengthy power blackout, residents who do not have gas fireplaces may use the Community Center for heat and shelter. The fireplace can be enabled with Management permission and if the outage lasts for some time, Management may also provide a generator for additional heat and light.

There is a generator available to provide running water during power outages. If the outage lasts longer than 1 hour, the generator will be brought into service to represurize the water delivery system.

Boil all water untill avised that it is safe.

Natural Disaster

In severe wind storms, residents are advised to move to an area away from large trees or falling branches, such as the Apex school grounds or the North (Frs. Hwy.) entrance to the park.

After a severe Earth Quake, Do not smoke and do not do anything to create sparks or open flames untill the risk of gas leaks has been addressed. Stay away from shelters or depressed areas where heavier than air toxic and volatile gasses may collect.
if the Community Center is deemed structuraly safe, and there are no gas leaks evident, residents should assemble at the Community Center and do a family head count. Don't forget to check on your eldery or disabled neighbors as well!

Disaster co-ordinators may require that all homes be checked for Gas leaks, Water or Sewer failures, Electrical problems, etc. before allowing residents back into their homes.
